How it's applied.

General overview — refer to the product IFU for complete instructions.

01

Wound Bed Preparation

Debride to remove biofilm, slough, and non-viable tissue. Irrigate thoroughly.

02

Size & Trim

Select appropriate OCM size. Trim to fit wound dimensions.

03

Application

Apply directly to the prepared wound bed. Ensure full contact.

04

Secondary Dressing

Apply secondary dressing based on exudate level and clinical judgment.

05

Documentation

Record wound measurements, tissue characteristics, product lot number, and clinical rationale.

Better with debridement.

Wound bed preparation is a prerequisite for matrix therapy. Debridement — using EZ Debride, XSONX, or Histologics devices — removes biofilm and slough that would impair matrix adherence.

GWA's portfolio is designed to work together. Debridement instruments prepare the wound bed, and OCM provides the matrix scaffold for healing. Ask us about building an integrated protocol.
